At King Rose of NY Inc, you have the opportunity to spend a full year (52 weeks) diving deep into New York City’s construction management scene. You’ll be right where the action is, supporting project leadership in delivering high-quality builds on schedule.

The Host Organization

King Rose is an established construction and project management firm based on 38th Street in Manhattan. With a specialized team, the company coordinates complex projects in the heart of the city. For those aiming for a career in construction management, this offers an ideal professional environment.

Your Role & On-Site Practice

Over the course of the year, you will learn how large-scale projects are managed in the US. Your time will be spent primarily in the field:

  • Project Support: You will assist project managers in monitoring workflows and helping ensure quality and efficiency across various job sites.
  • Field Assignment: This position is for those who want to be out in the city. You will accompany on-site meetings, coordinate between different trades, and understand the logistics behind NYC construction projects.
  • Documentation & Planning: You will help review plans and maintain schedules—essential skills for your future career.
  • Housing: Located in the heart of Manhattan, housing is not included. However, the VisaNerd platform provides guidance for finding accommodation in New York.

What professional requirements do I need for King Rose?

You should be a student of Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or have graduated within the last year). We value resilience, punctuality, and a drive for the dynamic pace of a New York construction site more than perfect grades.

Why is the internship exactly 12 months long?

52 weeks allow you to witness the full cycle of construction projects in NYC. This long-term commitment ensures deep professional integration into the team and turns your reference into a top-tier credential for international engineering firms.
