Internship USA: Sponsorship and
J1 Visa Approval Process
An internship in the USA requires legally compliant planning. The J1 visa is the mandatory path for all practical training activities in the States. We provide the necessary infrastructure for your endeavor. We steer the sponsorship process and ensure that you and your host company meet all criteria for the DS 2019 form.
1. Self Placement or Placement Service?
There are two ways to achieve J1 approval. The choice depends on your current stage of preparation.
You have already found your host company. As the official entry point, we take over the entire steering of your digital documentation and secure the visa approval through our partner sponsors.
You have not secured an offer yet and require assistance with the search. We cooperate with specialized placement agencies that identify positions tailored to your profile. This service involves an additional fee.
2. Eligibility: Who is Authorized?
The US Department of State defines clear categories for participants. We validate your profile based on these criteria:
- J1 Intern: Currently enrolled students or graduates with a degree obtained less than 12 months ago.
- J1 Trainee: Professionals with a degree and 1 year of experience outside the USA or individuals with 5 years of relevant work experience.
3. Job Search in the US Market
For finding a host company, we recommend utilizing your own network and direct outreach to companies. Applicants steer this process through their own initiative. Once an offer is secured, we validate the suitability of the company for the sponsoring program.
4. The Training Plan (DS 7002)
The Training Plan is the core of the visa application. It describes the learning objectives of your stay. We support the host organization in the United Kingdom or the USA in making this plan compliant with the law. Applicants do not have to create the Training Plan themselves or distribute it to the company. We clarify the details directly with the team on site to ensure flawless digital documentation.
5. Cost Overview
A stay in the USA involves fixed costs for sponsorship. Here are the facts for a standard application:

- SEVIS Fee: Currently $220 (paid to the US Department of Homeland Security).
